Hello and Welcome!
My name is Claudia Chan, the face behind Kokoro no Melody. It means Melody of the Heart, and I believe everyone has a story to tell.
I am a radiation therapist (use radiation to treat cancer patients), a wife, a mom to an active and adorable 3 year old son, and a calligrapher and engraver.
I started my calligraphy journey in 2017, started with a brush pen, but quickly fell in love with a pointed pen, and haven’t stopped writing ever since.
Calligraphy means beautiful writing, but for me it means much more than that. Calligraphy is a creative outlet that gives me a chance to relax, and at the same time challenges me and builds my confidence as I strive to master this art.
It is also my way to share stories and connect with others. Whether it is a name for the special someone, a quote to inspire other people, or wedding vows to bring two people together, it’s through words that we build a strong relationship and connection with each other, sharing our love, hope, pain, and dreams.
That is why I fell in love with calligraphy.
That is why I love teaching calligraphy workshops to
share this beautiful art form with others.
That is why I love working with wedding couples to help them transform their love stories into calligraphy art pieces, so they can be reminded of the reasons why they fell in love.
And that is why I love offering live on-site fine art calligraphy and engraving services to help brands grow and build stronger relationships with their clients.
I am currently based in North York, Toronto, Canada, and my servicing area includes, but not limited to the GTA, Richmond Hill, Markham, and Vaughn area.
