Copperplate Calligraphy Precision Practice + Free Guide Sheet
On March 9th, 2020, I decided to start getting back into Copperplate practice, to hold myself accountable, I started doing live practice sessions!
As the practice group grew, I wanted to make the session more intentional, so we can perfect our craft!
Copperplate Calligraphy Precision Practice (C2P2) Sessions
I’m calling the practice session, Copperplate Calligraphy Precision Practice (C2P2) session.
Every Wednesday morning, I’ll post a video to show what we’ll be working on, and at night, we’ll do 15-20 minutes of intentional practice!
The live sessions are held on Wed nights 9:30-10pm EST on IG. (The live video will be saved for 24 hours)
The 7 basic Copperplate Calligraphy Strokes

One of the main struggles I keep hearing is stroke consistency. This is also something that I personally struggle with!
That’s why I created these guidesheets!
A little bit more about these guidesheets
These guidesheets are set up in a such a way that will help you visualize your stroke while you’re practicing!
Each spacing (x-height, 1st ascender, 2nd ascender) is divided into thirds, these are meant to serve as a visual cue and specific places to aim your strokes! Utilizing this guide, you can get yourself ready to increase or decrease pressure, or prepare yourself for any turns, and have specific spots where you can aim for, while keeping the width consistent!
In the file, you’ll get four guidelines.
Warm Up Drill
5mm 2:1:2 ratio Guideline
6mm 2:1:2 ratio Guideline
8mm 2:1:2 Guideline
If stroke consistency is something you struggle with, go and download my guidelines below NOW!
Looking forward to practicing with you!
